FORECASTLE IN ROLLING STONE, TICKETS ON-SALE TODAY

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Dear Friends ~

Tickets are now on-sale for the 7th annual Forecastle Festival. I want to say thanks to all the regional and national media outlets for spotlighting the hard work, dedication, and efforts put into this grassroots movement each and every year. Last Friday’s announcement was highlighted in Rolling Stone, CNET, Paste, Pollstar, Jambase, and dozens of blogs across the Midwest and country. In a time when similiar events seem to proliferating everywhere (many weighing profits above message), it’s nice to know these outlets are standing behind a values-driven event, whose held the same message for (7) years.

We just released the schedule for all 3-days, July 25th - 27th at the Riverfront Belvedere in Louisville, KY. Line-ups for the Ocean and Activism Stages, Film Tent, Music and Activism panels are coming soon. The lodging and accomodations page has also been updated with more options.

Forecastle Tickets are available via ticketweb.com and ticketmaster, along with the following independent record stores:

CD Central - Lexington, KY
Ear-X-Tacy - Louisville, KY
Euclid Records - St. Louis, MO
Grimey’s New and Preloved Music - Nashville, TN
Indy CD and Vinyl - Indianapolis, IN
Landlocked Records - Bloomington, IN
Shake-It Records - Cincinnati, OH

Thanks again for your continued support of this growing, grassroots network. We’ll be back on the road this May spreading the good word, hope to see everyone out in our participating cities. Until then, stay warm, dry, and wise ~
