Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Dear Forecastle Travelers ~

As previously announced, the 7th annual Forecastle Festival will host its first ever "Halfway to Forecastle" mini-fest January 26th @ Headliners Music Hall. All ticket proceeds will benefit Louisville BMX hero and FBM-owner Jimmy Levan, currently recovering from serious injuries sustained after a skate boarding accident in New Jersey. The indoor / outdoor party will be high-energy and nautically-themed, decorated top to bottom with props and decor straight from the Carolina shoreline. Costumes encouraged.

As a tribute to Jimmy, Halfway will include an outdoor skate park under a heated canopy, courtesy of Red Bull North America. Exhibitions will start @ 2PM, featuring local and regional athletes. Additional silent auction activities will take place inside, with all proceeds benefiting Jimmy and his road to recovery.
